Trello History
Trello was founded in 2011 by Fog Creek software developer Joel Spolsky and Michael Pryor. The two had previously worked together on the popular software development forum Stack Overflow. Trello was inspired by Spolsky’s work on the project management tool FogBugz.
The name “Trello” comes from the Spanish word for “board.” The original Trello logo was a simple whiteboard with the word “Trello” written in green marker. The current logo, which was introduced in 2013, is a more stylized version of the original.
Trello has become a popular tool for managing projects of all types, from small personal tasks to large corporate initiatives. It is used by millions of people around the world, including some of the biggest companies in the world.
